NEWSTART
Eight Principles. One Foundation for Healthy Living.
NEWSTART is a simple, memorable framework for whole-person health, built on eight natural remedies God placed within reach of every person. Each letter stands for a principle—Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust in Divine Power—that, practiced together, addresses the body, mind, and spirit as one connected whole. It is not a program to purchase or a diet to follow for a season; it is a way of life we teach, model, and return to again and again in everything we do.
Nutrition
A whole-food, plant-centered diet gives the body exactly what it needs to function and heal. Simple, unprocessed foods, eaten in moderation, are the foundation of lasting health.
Exercise
Regular physical activity strengthens the heart, lungs, and muscles while lifting mood and mental clarity. Even a brisk daily walk can make a measurable difference.
Water
Water is one of God's simplest and most powerful healing agents—taken internally and applied externally. Staying well-hydrated supports every system in the body.
Sunshine
Sensible, moderate sunlight exposure supports vitamin D production, mood, and immune function. A little sunshine each day goes a long way toward wellness.
Temperance
Temperance means moderation in all things beneficial and abstinence from all things harmful. It is a principle of self-control that protects both body and mind.
Air
Fresh air and deep, deliberate breathing oxygenate the blood and renew the body at the cellular level. Time outdoors is genuine medicine.
Rest
Adequate nightly sleep and a weekly day of rest allow the body to repair itself and the mind to find peace. Rest is not a luxury—it is woven into creation itself.
Trust in Divine Power
Ultimately, lasting health flows from a right relationship with God. Trust in His care brings a peace of mind that no medicine can replicate.
NEWSTART is, at its heart, an act of Christian stewardship. The same hands that formed the earth also placed sunlight, water, and rest within our daily reach—simple gifts, freely given, that we are called to use wisely rather than neglect or abuse. When we practice these eight principles, we are not chasing a trend; we are caring for the body as the sacred trust it is, honoring God with the health He longs for each of us to enjoy.
